Tracking the Government Shutdown

As we wait to see if Speaker Johnson is able to craft a new Continuing Resolution that will avoid a government shutdown, I thought I would post some articles to help tourism community leaders understand just what the heck is happening in Washington.

The situation is very fluid and things could change quickly but right now there is not a clear way forward. On the upside, some leading Republicans, like Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC), have said they will not support a funding extension if it does not include disaster relief.
